Grupo Hima San Pablo eyes third extension of exclusive plan periods

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., March 13 – Grupo Hima San Pablo Inc. is seeking a third extension of its exclusive periods to file and solicit votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Puerto Rico.

The company asked the court to extend the exclusive plan filing period through April 15 from March 14 and the exclusive solicitation period through June 13 from May 13.

“At this stage, the debtors have drafted an initial draft of the disclosure statement and work is ongoing in drafting the proposed plan, but these documents still need to be reconciled with the final covenants of the agreements being entered with the lenders and the unsecured creditors committee and supplemented with financial information and projections still in process,” the company said in the motion.

The Caguas, Puerto Rico-based health care services company filed bankruptcy on Aug. 15, 2023 under Chapter 11 case number 23-02510.
