Free Speech: Bankruptcy court appoints Morris as mediator

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., March 27 – Free Speech Systems LLC’s subchapter V trustee’s request to have a mediator appointed to the debtor’s case and to Alex Jones’ case for an upcoming in-person meeting was approved Tuesday by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas.

Trustee Elizabeth C. Freeman said an agreement for a face-to-face meeting was announced at a hearing held March 11, as previously reported.

Facilitation of discussions at that meeting by judge Edward L. Morris will greatly assist the parties in their negotiations, Freeman had said.

Austin, Tex.-based Free Speech Systems filed bankruptcy on July 29, 2022 under Chapter 11 case number 22-60043. Alex Jones’ Chapter 11 case number is 22-33553.
