Free Speech: Trustee says reorganization may not be possible now

By Sarah Lizee

Olympia, Wash., March 11 – Free Speech Systems LLC’s subchapter V trustee told the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas on Saturday that the debtor might not be able to reorganize at this point.

Trustee Elizabeth C. Freeman said discussions would continue through the weekend, but she would not be filing a written report at the time because she did not want to risk misleading anyone not involved in those discussions or preventing any progress that might be made.

“In the interest of transparency, the trustee has concluded that the case is quickly approaching, if it has not already arrived, at a place in which a reorganization is not possible,” Freeman said in a statement to the court.

Austin, Tex.-based Free Speech Systems filed bankruptcy on July 29, 2022 under Chapter 11 case number 22-60043. Alex Jones’ Chapter 11 case number is 22-33553.
