Fitch rates Major League notes A

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an A rating to Major League Baseball (MLB) Trust Securitization's about $63 million senior secured note issuance, comprised of about $37.8 million series 61, $10.7 million series 62, $6.8 million and $7.4 million series 64.

“The ratings reflect MLB's core underlying business fundamentals, including its unique operating model and environment, a long history of individual and corporate support, strong media rights agreements, and a solid labor environment between the league and the MLB Players Association (MLBPA). The diversity and growth of MLB revenues, including MLB Advanced Media (MLBam) and revenue sharing, has bolstered individual team financial health,” Fitch said in a press release.

The outlook is stable.
