Moody’s acts on Omani government-linked issuers

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed the Ba3 ratings of eight government-related issuers domiciled in Oman and changed their outlooks to positive from stable.

The agency said the action is a direct consequence of the recent action on Oman where the Ba3 government bond rating was affirmed, and the outlook was changed to positive from stable.

The affected companies are Oman Electricity Transmission Co. SAOC, Mazoon Electricity Co. SAOC, Oman Power and Water Procurement Co. SAOC, Dhofar Integrated Services Co. SAOC, Majan Electricity Co. SAOC, Muscat Electricity Distribution Co. SAOC, Rural Areas Electricity Co. SAOC and Oman Telecommunications Co. SAOG.
