Hudson City Bancorp shareholders admit SEC filing made in error

Charlotte, N.C., Nov. 25 - Hudson City Bancorp, Inc. said shareholders led by Gamco Asset Management Inc. will withdraw their Nov. 21 schedule 13D filed in error with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Gamco notified Hudson City, a Paramus, N.J., bank holding company, of the error shortly after the filing was made, a Hudson City news release said.

The release did not specify the nature of the error.
