Guggenheim Series 871 offers units of three Global Dividend trusts

Minneapolis, Jan. 18 - Guggenheim Defined Portfolios, Series 871 is offering units of its Guggenheim Global Expansion and Dividend Portfolio, Series 4, Guggenheim Global Infrastructure and Dividend Portfolio, Series 4 and Guggenheim Inflation Defense and Dividend Portfolio, Series 6, according to an S-6 amendment filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The depositor is Lisle, Ill.-based Guggenheim Funds Distributors, Inc.

The Global Expansion trust seeks to provide total return through capital appreciation and has a secondary objective of providing dividend income. The trust aims to invest in a portfolio of 50 geographically diverse firms that may benefit from broad global economic expansion.

On its Jan. 18 inception date, $186,558 in contracts to purchase securities comprised the trust. The 18,844 units each have a public offering price of $10 and a net asset value of $9.625 per unit.

The Global Infrastructure trust seeks to provide total return through capital appreciation and has a secondary objective of providing dividend income. It aims to invest in a portfolio of 50 geographically diverse firms that meet major infrastructure needs, which have been categorized into basic utilities, railroads and major construction-related companies.

On its Jan. 18 inception date, $383,364 in contracts to purchase securities comprised the trust. The 38,724 units each have a public offering price of $10 and a net asset value of $9.625 per unit.

The Inflation Defense trust seeks to provide current income and total return through capital appreciation and will invest in a portfolio of securities of 50 global firms that may benefit from strong or rising commodity prices.

On its Jan. 18 inception date, $623,739 in contracts to purchase securities comprised the trust. The 63,004 units each have a public offering price of $10 and a net asset value of $9.625 per unit.

Each unit carries a maximum sales fee of 2.95%, which is comprised of an initial sales fee of 1%, a deferred sales fee of 1.45% and a creation and development fee of 0.5%. Sales charge reductions are available based on the amount of the investment.

The trusts have a mandatory termination date of April 15, 2013.
