Guggenheim Defined Portfolios, Series 842 registers units

San Diego, Nov. 7 - Guggenheim Defined Portfolios, Series 842 has registered units of its two portfolios, the Series 9 Guggenheim Moderate Asset Allocation Portfolio of ETFs and the Series 9 Guggenheim Growth Asset Allocation Portfolio of ETFs, according to an S-6 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The depositor is Lisle, Ill.-based Guggenheim Funds Distributors, Inc.

Both portfolios seek to provide capital appreciation and current income by investing in a diversified portfolio of exchange-traded funds.

The units will have a maximum sales fee of 2.95%, consisting of a 1% initial sales fee, a 1.45% deferred sales fee and a 0.5% creation and development fee.

The trust will terminate in roughly 15 months.
