Guess chairman increases stake in company to 24%

Charlotte, N.C., Oct. 18 - Guess?, Inc. founder and chairman Maurice Marciano bought 610,000 shares of the company's stock between Oct. 5 and Oct. 17 priced between $52.17 and $55.65 each, according to a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The reporting person owns 22,625,710 shares, or 24%, of the Los Angeles-based apparel company.
