S&P revises bank ratings

Standard & Poor's said it reviewed the ratings on the largest financial institutions in their world and their subsidiaries by applying its new ratings criteria for banks, which were published on Nov. 9.

The list of affected ratings include the following banks:

Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria SA's A+ and A-1 ratings with negative outlook were revised to AA- and A-1+ ratings with a negative outlook.

BBVA Bancomer SA's global-scale ratings of BBB and A-3 with a stable outlook were unchanged and its national scale ratings of mxAAA and mxA-1+ with a stable outlook were unchanged.

BBVA USA Bancshares Inc.'s A and A-1 ratings with negative outlook were revised to A and A-1 with a stable outlook.

Banco Bradesco SA's global-scale ratings of BBB and A-3 with a stable outlook are unchanged and its national scale ratings of brAAA and brA-1 with stable outlook are unchanged.

Banco do Brasil SA's BBB and A-3 ratings with stable outlook are unchanged.

Banco Santander SA's AA- and A-1+ ratings with stable outlook were revised to AA- and A-1+ ratings with negative outlook.

Banco Espanol de Credito SA's AA- and A-1+ ratings with negative outlook are unchanged.

Banco Santander (Brasil) SA's global-scale ratings of BBB and A-3 with stable outlook were revised to BBB- and A-3 ratings with outlook on positive watch. Its national scale ratings of brAAA and brA-1 with stable outlook are unchanged.

Banco Santander SA (Mexico)'s global-scale ratings of BBB and A-3 ratings with stable outlook are unchanged and its national scale ratings of mxAAA and mxA-1+ with stable outlook are unchanged.

Banco Santander Totta SA's BBB- and A-3 ratings with negative outlook are unchanged.

Santander Consumer Finance SA's A+ and A-1 ratings with negative outlook were revised to AA- and A-1+ with negative outlook.
