Cooley Godward hires Sato for life sciences

New York, Nov. 2 - Cooley Godward LLP said that Glen Sato will join as a partner in its life sciences group on Jan. 1.

Sato was previously senior vice president and chief financial officer at Protein Design Labs and before that senior vice president, chief financial officer and general counsel at Exelixis, Inc. He also worked in Cooley Godward's business department for two years.

"We continue aggressively to build the firm across practice areas and offices, and the addition of Glen Sato and his experience is a significant step for continued growth in our life sciences practice group," said Steve Neal, chairman and chief executive officer of Cooley Godward, in a news release.

Cooley Godward is a Palo Alto, Calif., law firm.
