Mississippi Phosphates shows May operating loss up to $12.03 million

New York, June 22 – Mississippi Phosphates Corp. posted an operating loss of $12.03 million for May on $1.36 million in net sales, according to its monthly operating report field Monday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Mississippi.

In April, the company reported an operating loss of $9.75 million on $1.03 million in net sales.

Mississippi Phosphates’ net loss for May was $11.93 million, widening from $9.66 million in April.

The company also had available cash holdings of $263,761 as of May 31, down from $690,334 as of April 30.

Mississippi Phosphates, a Pascagoula, Miss.-based fertilizer company, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 27, 2014. The Chapter 11 case number is 14-51667.
