M Waikiki three-member unsecured creditors committee appointed

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 12 - M Waikiki LLC's official committee of unsecured creditors has been appointed by Acting U.S. Trustee Tiffany L. Carroll, according to a Friday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Hawaii.

The committee members are Dr. Rosemarie Schmidt of creditor representative Marriott Hotel Services, Inc., of Bethesda, Md.; Kimo Leong, Esq., representing Hawaiian Electric Co., Inc. of Honolulu; and Catherine Lagareta of Communications Pacific, Inc. of Honolulu.

M Waikiki, a San Diego-based hotel investment company, filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 31. The Chapter 11 case number is 11-02371.
