MVC Capital greenshoe increases 6.25% notes to $115 million

Tacoma, Wash., Nov. 20 – The underwriters of MVC Capital, Inc.’s 6.25% $25-par senior notes due Nov. 30, 2022 exercised their $15 million over-allotment option in full, increasing the size of the issue to $115 million.

As previously reported, the company priced $100 million of the notes on Nov. 8.

The notes began trading on the New York Stock Exchange on Monday under the symbol “MVCD.” They closed at $25.16.

Ladenburg Thalmann & Co. Inc. and BB&T Capital Markets are the joint bookrunners.

Interest will be payable quarterly.

Proceeds will be used to redeem the company’s $114.4 million 7.25% notes due 2023.
