UBS plans seven-year call warrants linked to MSCI Emerging Markets
By Susanna Moon
Chicago, Aug. 25 – UBS AG, London Branch plans to price European-style, cash-settled call warrants expiring Aug. 26, 2021 linked to the MSCI Emerging Markets index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notional amount will be at least $40,000 per warrant.
The warrants will be automatically exercised on the expiration date if the index finishes above its initial level. The cash settlement amount for each warrant will be the greater of zero and the notional amount per warrant multiplied by the index return. The cash settlement payment date is Aug. 31, 2021.
If the index falls or stays flat, the warrants will expire worthless and investors will lose their entire initial investments in the warrants.
UBS Investment Bank is the underwriter, and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC is the agent.
The warrants will price on Aug. 27 and settle on Aug. 29.
The Cusip number is 90273L369.
