Scotiabank plans capped enhanced participation notes tied to MSCI EAFE

San Luis Obispo, Calif., March 7 - Bank of Nova Scotia plans to price 0% series A capped enhanced participation notes linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are expected to mature 18 to 21 months after pricing.

If the final index level is greater than the initial level, the payout at maturity will be par plus 175% of the index return, subject to a maximum redemption amount of $1,245 to $1,280 per $1,000 principal amount of notes. The exact maximum payout will be set at pricing.

Investors will be fully exposed to any losses.

The Cusip number is 064159262.
