Goldman plans 24- to 27-month leveraged notes linked to MSCI EAFE

Chicago, July 31 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered notes linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes are expected to mature between 24 and 27 months after pricing.
The payout at maturity will be par plus double any index gain, up to a maximum settlement amount of $1,360 to $1,420 per $1,000 principal amount of notes. The exact cap will be set at pricing.
Investors will be exposed to any losses.
Goldman, Sachs & Co. is the underwriter.
