Morgan Stanley plans buffered PLUS linked to S&P 500

Olympia, Wash., Jan. 31 – Morgan Stanley Finance LLC plans to price 0% buffered Performance Leveraged Upside Securities due Oct. 20, 2022 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the index return is positive, the payout at maturity will be par plus 120% of the index return, capped at par plus 20%. Investors will receive par if the index declines by 20% or less and will lose 1% for every 1% that it declines beyond 20%.

The notes are guaranteed by Morgan Stanley.

The notes will price on Feb. 3.

The Cusip number is 61770FFM3.
