New Issue: Merrill Lynch prices $37.4 million 12% callable Strides exchangeable for Monsanto

Chicago, March 25 - Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc. priced $37.4 million of 12% callable Stock Return Income Debt Securities (Strides) due March 26, 2010 linked to Monsanto Co. common stock, according to a 424B3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Interest is payable quarterly.

The payout at maturity will be a number of Monsanto shares equal to par of $25 divided by the initial volume-weighted average share price.

The Strides are callable with a yield to call of 21.3% beginning on March 27, 2009.

Merrill Lynch & Co. is the agent.
