Millicom offers $200 million-equivalent Colombian peso notes

Portland, Ore., Sept. 11 – Millicom International Cellular SA announced in a Monday press release that subject to market conditions it intends to offer up to $200 million-equivalent of Colombian peso-denominated senior notes with a tenor of up to seven years.

Millicom also commenced a tender offer for its 6 5/8% senior notes due 2021.

The Luxembourg-based telecom, which operates in emerging markets in Latin America and Africa, intends to use the net proceeds to fund the tender, and/or redeem the notes.
