Chicago Metropolitan Water calls $76.05 million series 2006 G.O. bonds

Madison, Wis., Jan. 7 – Metropolitan Water Reclamation District of Greater Chicago defeased and is calling $76.05 million of its limited tax series July 2006 general obligation capital improvement bonds, according to a notice.

The 5% bonds due 2017 through 2022 will be redeemed on Dec. 1, 2016 at par plus accrued interest to the redemption date.

Amalgamated Bank of Chicago is the agent.

The issuer originally issued $250 million of the series 2006 bonds.
