S&P gives BBB to Marriott notes

S&P said it gave a BBB rating to Marriott International Inc.'s planned series JJ senior unsecured notes. The offering amount and maturity are to be determined.

The rating is the same as Marriott’s issuer rating. S&P said its other ratings for Marriott are unchanged.

Marriot intends to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, which could include the repayment of debt with near-term maturities in October and February.
