Markit lists changes to CDX North American Investment Grade subindexes

Tacoma, Wash., Sept. 13 - Markit Group Ltd. announced the changes expected to be made to several subindexes of the Markit CDX North American Investment Grade index when they roll on Sept. 20.

The following companies will be removed from the high volatility subindex: Anadarko Petroleum Corp., Dell Inc., Gap, Inc., Genworth Financial, Inc., Hillshire Brands Co., Johnson Controls, Inc., Kinder Morgan Energy Partners, LP, MetLife, Inc. and SLM Corp.

The following companies will be added to the high volatility subindex: Assured Guaranty Municipal Corp., Avon Products, Inc., FirstEnergy Corp., Genworth Holdings, Inc., Southwest Airlines Co., Time Warner Cable Inc., Valero Energy Corp., Weatherford International Ltd. and Whirlpool Corp.

In the consumer subindex, Avon will replace H.J. Heinz Co.

Weatherford will be added to the energy subindex.

In the financial subindex, Assured Guaranty Municipal and Genworth Holdings will replace SLM and Genworth Financial.

Finally, Dell will be removed from the telecom and media subindex.

The lists remain provisional until the final annexes for the indexes are published.
