Markit further delays roll of Markit CDX investment grade, emerging market indexes

By Angela McDaniels

Tacoma, Wash., Sept. 29 - Markit Group Ltd. said it postponed the roll of five indexes that were scheduled to roll on Monday. They will now roll on Oct. 2.

The Markit CDX North America Investment Grade, Markit CDX North America Investment Grade High Volatility and Markit CDX North America Crossover indexes will each roll into series 11.

The Markit CDX Emerging Markets index will roll into series 10, and the Markit CDX Emerging Markets Diversified index will roll into series 8.

The delay is due to market conditions and demand from market participants, according to a company news release.

The indexes were originally set to roll on Sept. 22. The company first delayed the roll on Sept. 16.

Markit provides independent data, portfolio valuations and over-the-counter derivatives trade processing to the financial markets.
