S&P lifts Huntington Bancshares view to positive

S&P said it revised its outlook on Huntington Bancshares Inc. and subsidiary the Huntington National Bank to positive from stable.

S&P also affirmed its BBB rating on Huntington and the BBB+ rating on the Huntington National Bank.

The outlook revision reflects Huntington's successful integration of FirstMerit Corp., as well as its lower risk profile and good financial performance, which should aid business stability in the future, S&P said in a news release.
