New Issue: HSBC prices $65,000 18-month AMPS linked to S&P 500 index

Tacoma, Wash., May 9 - HSBC USA Inc. priced $65,000 of 0% Accelerated Market Participation Securities due Oct. 25, 2012 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus three times any increase in the index, subject to a cap of 17.5%. Investors will be exposed to any decline in the index.
