HomeBanc disclosure hearing again delayed

By Jennifer Lanning Drey

Portland, Ore., Oct. 31 - HomeBanc Mortgage Corp.'s hearing for approval of the disclosure statement for its plan of liquidation was adjourned to Dec. 2, according to a source familiar with the case.

The hearing was previously scheduled for Friday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware. The delay represents the second adjournment of the hearing.

As previously reported, the hearing was originally scheduled for Oct. 7 but was pushed back so the company could continue working to resolve creditor issues.

HomeBanc, an Atlanta-based mortgage banking business, filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 9, 2007. Its Chapter 11 case number is 07-11079.
