HomeBanc disclosure hearing pushed back as company, creditors talk

By Jennifer Lanning Drey

Portland, Ore., Oct. 7 - HomeBanc Mortgage Corp.'s hearing for approval of the disclosure statement for its plan of liquidation was adjourned to Oct. 31 as the company continues working to resolve creditor issues, according to a source familiar with the case.

The hearing was previously scheduled for Tuesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

As previously reported, HomeBanc's exclusive solicitation period has been extended to Jan. 5 from Oct. 6 in light of the delayed disclosure hearing.

HomeBanc, an Atlanta-based mortgage banking business, filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 9, 2007. Its Chapter 11 case number is 07-11079.
