S&P: Hewlett-Packard unaffected

Standard & Poor's said that recent disclosures by Hewlett-Packard Co. (HP, A-/positive/A-1) have indicated disagreement among certain current and former board members with respect to an investigation into leaks of confidential company information.

S&P said it does not expect the disagreement or recent disclosures to have a negative impact on HP's business or financial flexibility nor on our ratings or outlook on the company.

The agency added it will continue to monitor events at Hewlett-Packard and its board of directors.
