Guggenheim Securities adds Peter Fry as managing director in New York

Fry to enhance health-care financings via at-the-market offerings

By Tali David

Minneapolis, Sept. 23 - Guggenheim Securities announced the hiring of Peter M. Fry as managing director in New York, according to a press release.

Fry, who has spent two decades on the sell side and buy side focusing on alternative equities, will direct the firm's expansion into "at-the-market" (ATM) offerings.

ATM financing is a flexible alternative to a secondary equity offering that enables companies to issue stock in increments as their needs arise and as market conditions warrant.

"We are delighted to welcome Peter to our team," Guggenheim's health-care group senior managing director Stuart Duty said in a news release. "Peter's expertise in ATM offerings and other equity products will complement and enhance our existing strengths in health-care finance."

Fry joins Guggenheim from Burrill & Co., where he was a managing director and head of alternative equities. Before that, he spent eight years as the senior investment officer of Kingsbridge Capital.

Guggenheim Securities is a subsidiary of Guggenheim Partners, a privately held financial services firm.
