Global Power obtains fourth bridge exclusivity extension; new hearing date Sept. 28

New York, Sept. 11 - Global Power Equipment Group Inc. received a fourth bridge extension for its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan after the hearing on the full extension request was postponed to Sept. 28, according to a Tuesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The exclusive plan-filing period is now set to expire on Sept. 28, and the solicitation period will end on Nov. 27.

As previously reported, the exclusivity extension hearing originally was scheduled for July 10; then it was adjourned to July 12, then again to Aug. 22 and another time to Sept. 10.

Global Power, a Tulsa, Okla., maker of gas turbine power plants and power-related equipment for industrial operations, filed for bankruptcy on Sept. 28, 2006. The Chapter 11 case number is 06-11045.
