By Susanna Moon

Chicago, Feb. 4 - Global Hunter Securities, LLC said its Los Angeles office has expanded its investment banking team by adding Matthew Brown as senior vice president.

Brown will focus on debt and equity capital raising, restructuring and distressed transactions, according to a company press release.

"With the recent opening of our Los Angeles office, we are thrilled to welcome Matt as we expand our investment banking platform," Daniel O. Conwill IV, chairman and chief executive officer of Global Hunter, in a press release.

Brown has more than 15 years of experience, most recently as a vice president of investment banking in the leveraged finance group at Jefferies & Co. in Los Angeles. At Jefferies, Brown focused on underwriting and executing high-yield and bank debt financings for middle-market companies and financial sponsors across a range of industry sectors.

Before joining Jefferies, Brown was a vice president of corporate finance at Imperial Capital and, before that, was involved in mergers-and-acquisitions and growth financing transactions at Montgomery & Co.

Brown received a Bachelor of Arts in economics and political science from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a Master of Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Global Hunter is a Los Angeles-based investment bank focusing on middle-market corporate and institutional clients.
