Georgia buys back $18.51 million further 7½% notes after tender

New York, April 12 - The Ministry of Finance of Georgia announced the repurchase of $18.51 million of its original $500 million of 7½% notes due 2013, leaving $64.75 million of the notes outstanding.

In the tender offer that expired on April 6, the company accepted for purchase $416,740,000 of the securities at $1,071.25 for each $1,000 principal amount of notes plus accrued interest of $36.88.

The repurchased notes were canceled on Tuesday.
