By Ashley Montgomery

Kansas City, Kan., Dec. 6 - Lebenthal & Co. LLC hired William Ludolph to be head of municipal underwriting, according to a community news release.

"Lebenthal continues to grow the scope of its activities and I could not be more thrilled to have Bill join us to help drive that growth," Lebenthal founder and chief executive officer Alexandra Lebenthal said in the release.

"With his extensive experience in municipal underwriting, I believe Bill adds a new facet to our capabilities. He will be a key part of our future success as we focus on the new issue market in public finance. Added to our legacy and brand, it's a winning combination."

Ludolph joins the firm from Charles Schwab, where he was a bookrunning manager. He has also worked for Lehman Brothers, Shearson American Express, LF Rothschild, First Boston and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. He is a graduate of Georgetown University.

Lebenthal is a New York-based financial firm specializing in tax-free municipal bonds and high net-worth wealth management.
