Furie Operating Alaska seeks extension with plan hearing scheduled

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, May 12 – Furie Operating Alaska, LLC is seeking a third extension of its exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to a motion filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Specifically, Furie is asking the court to extend its exclusive plan-filing period by 45 days through June 27 and the solicitation period through Aug. 13.

As previously reported, the company obtained court approval of its disclosure statement on Friday, and the plan confirmation hearing is scheduled for June 11.

“As the debtors proceed with solicitation of the plan, the debtors request an extension of the exclusivity periods to carry through the scheduled confirmation hearing,” the motion said.

A hearing is scheduled for June 11.

Furie is an Anchorage-based independent energy company. The company filed bankruptcy on Aug. 9, 2019 under Chapter 11 case number 19-11781.
