Frontier Airlines posts $3.3 million August operating income

Pittsburgh, Sept. 26 - Frontier Airlines Holdings, Inc. reported $3.3 million in operating income for August on $126.83 million in revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

In comparison, the company posted a $1.23 million operating income in July on $141.3 million in revenues.

The net loss for August was $5.61 million, widening from a $3.25 million July net loss.

The company reported cash and cash equivalents of $74.19 million at Aug. 31, compared with $64.5 million at the end of July.

Frontier, a Denver-based airline, filed for bankruptcy on April 10. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-11298.
