Frontier Airlines posts $1.23 million July operating income

Pittsburgh, Aug. 29 - Frontier Airlines Holdings, Inc. reported $1.23 million in operating income for July on $141.3 million in revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The figures showed improvement over the $3.16 million operating loss posted in June on $132.07 million in revenues.

The net loss for July was $3.25 million, narrowing from an $8.84 million June net loss.

The company reported cash and cash equivalents of $64.5 million at July 31, compared with $59.31 million at the end of June.

Frontier, a Denver-based airline, filed for bankruptcy on April 10 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-11298.
