Freddie Mac to reopen 1.5% Reference Notes due 2020 for $500 million

Knoxville, Tenn., Feb. 8 – Freddie Mac will reopen its 1.5% Reference Notes due Jan. 17, 2020 to add $500 million via an internet-based auction, according to a company press release.

The issue will price on Wednesday and settle Thursday.

After the sale is complete, the total issue size will be $3.5 billion.

The government-backed mortgage lender is based in McLean, Va.
