FairPoint Communications' final hearing on DIP financing adjourned

Charlotte, N.C., Dec. 2 - FairPoint Communications, Inc.'s final hearing on the approval of its debtor-in-possession financing was adjourned to Dec. 16, according to an attorney close to the case.

The hearing will be heard in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

As previously reported, the court granted FairPoint Communications interim access to $20 million of its $75 million DIP facility in October.

FairPoint Communications provides communications services and is based in Charlotte, N.C. The company filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 26, and its Chapter 11 case number is 09-16335.
