New Issue: Scotiabank prices $1.92 million capped buffered participation notes on MSCI EAFE

Madison, Wis., June 11 - Bank of Nova Scotia priced $1.92 million of 0% series A capped buffered participation notes due Jan. 7, 2014 linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to an SUPPL filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
If the final index level is greater than the initial level, the payout at maturity will be par plus 1.5 times the gain, subject to a cap of 19.5%.
Investors will receive par for losses up to 15% and will share in losses at a rate of 1.1765% per 1% decline beyond the buffer.
Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. is the underwriter with Goldman Sachs & Co. as dealer.
