MidAmerican Energy to price 10-, 30-year green bonds

Knoxville, Tenn., Jan. 7 – MidAmerican Energy Co. intends to offer first mortgage bonds in two tranches, according to a 424B5 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes are due in 2029 and 2049.

The 2029 notes feature a make-whole call until three months prior to maturity and then a par call. The 2049 notes feature a make-whole call until six months prior to maturity and then a par call.

Barclays, BNY Mellon Capital Markets LLC, Mizuho Securities USA LLC, U.S. Bancorp Investments Inc., Wells Fargo Securities LLC, BNP Paribas Securities Corp. and SMBC Nikko Securities America Inc. are the bookrunners.

Proceeds will be used to finance eligible green projects.
