Moody’s revises Microsoft to stable
Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed the Aaa senior unsecured ratings and Prime-1 short-term rating of Microsoft Corp. and changed the outlook to stable from negative.
"Microsoft's demonstrated ability to innovate and defend its leading market positions in the face of technological evolution and the ongoing success of its transition to a cloud-based subscription model has resulted in strong revenue growth and an improving profit and cash flow profile," Moody’s senior vice president Richard Lane said in a news release.
"Despite a lackluster PC market, Moody's expects Microsoft will generate consistently strong profitability with greater than 40% EBITDA margins and free cash flow generation in excess of $20 billion annually."
