New Issue: Howard County, Md., prices $138.9 million of G.O. bonds

New York, March 19 - Howard County, Md., priced $138,895,000 of series 2013A general obligation bonds, according to a pricing sheet.

The deal included $99,815,000 of series 2013A consolidated public improvement project and refunding bonds and $39.08 million of series 2013A metropolitan district project and refunding bonds.

The consolidated public improvement bonds are due 2014 to 2033 with 2.375% to 5% coupons. The metropolitan district bonds are due 2014 to 2033 with term bonds due in 2035 and 2038. The serial coupons range from 2.375% to 5%. The 2035 bonds have a 3.5% coupon priced at 99.09, and the 2038 bonds have a 3.5% coupon priced at 98.5.

The bonds (Aaa/AAA/AAA) were sold competitively. A spokesman for the county did not immediately respond to requests for the winning bidder Tuesday.

Proceeds will be used to pay or reimburse the county for certain capital projects and refund existing G.O. bonds and notes.
