Home Interiors & Gifts posts $2.87 million April net loss, zero sales

Pittsburgh, May 20 - Home Interiors & Gifts, Inc. reported a net loss of $2.87 million for April on zero sales, according to its monthly operating report filed Wednesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Texas.

In comparison, the company posted a $2.93 million net loss for March, also on zero sales.

Home Interiors had $3.3 million in cash at April 30, down from $3.55 million at the end of March.

Home Interiors & Gifts is a Dallas-based integrated manufacturer and distributor of home decorative accessories. The company filed for bankruptcy on April 29, 2008. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-31961.
