Moody's lifts Global University view to positive

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed the B3 corporate family rating and B3-PD probability of default rating on Global University Systems Holding BV.

The agency also affirmed Markermeer Finance BV's B3 senior secured loan ratings.

Moody's also said it changed the outlook to positive from stable.

The outlook revision reflects Global University's improved metrics and an expectation that they will continue to strengthen driven by strong demand for its portfolio of professionally-oriented courses, the agency said.

The ratings consider that the company's is one of the largest European private higher education providers with a strong base in the United Kingdom, Moody's said, along with solid growth through acquisitions.

The ratings are constrained by the company's exposure to the highly competitive and fragmented higher education market with requirements to comply with rigorous regulatory standards, the agency said.
