Goldman Sachs to sell leveraged equity notes linked to MSCI EAFE

Chicago, Dec. 18 - Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. plans to price 0% leveraged equity index-linked notes linked to the MSCI EAFE index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will mature 18 to 21 months after issue.
The payout at maturity will be par plus triple any index gain, up to the maximum settlement amount of $1,277.50 to $1,322.50 per $1,000 principal amount of notes.
Investors will be exposed to any losses.
The exact deal terms will be set at pricing.
