Miller Tabak hires four, expands trading floor

New York, Nov. 26 - Miller Tabak Roberts Securities, LLC said it hired four professionals, two in convertibles and two in high yield, and expanded its New York trading floor by 20%.

The new hires are Lyubov Bank and Christofer E. Dolis who both join the broker-dealer as first vice presidents of sales in the convertible bond department and Sharon M. Coyne and Robert D'Addario who are assistant vice presidents of sales in the high-yield bond department.

Bank also worked in convertible sales at her previous position of vice president in the equities division of Goldman, Sachs International.

Dolis was a vice president on the convertible desk at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein's Grantchester division.

Coyne was previously a sales/trading assistant at CRT Capital Group.

D'Addario was an assistant vice president at Credit Suisse First Boston before joining MTR.

"Our ability to attract talent is a testament to the opportunities we present to professionals in the fixed income industry and further strengthens the firm's position as a leading broker-dealer," said MTR senior managing director and chief executive officer Robert Schoenthal in a news release. "Additionally, our commitment to in-depth, independent research has given us a competitive advantage in today's ever-changing marketplace. Without the common conflicts of a traditional investment bank, MTR is better positioned to meet our clients' insatiable demand for unbiased research."

MTR Securities also said that it expanded the trading floor at its Madison Avenue headquarters just 12 months after its initial construction. The increased area will accommodate both sales and trading staff.
