S&P ups Forest Laboratories notes to BBB-

Standard & Poor’s said it raised the issue-level ratings on Forest Laboratories Inc.’s $3 billion of senior unsecured notes due 2019 and 2021 to BBB- from BB+.

The upgrade follows Actavis plc’s assumption and guarantee of Forest Laboratories’ senior unsecured debt. Concurrent with the completion of the acquisition, Forest Laboratories Inc. was renamed Forest Laboratories LLC and became a subsidiary of Actavis plc.
