Charlotte Russe going-private deal clears HSR waiting period early

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Sept. 15 - The Federal Trade Commission granted early termination of the Hart-Scott-Rodino waiting period in the proposed acquisition of Charlotte Russe Holding, Inc. by investment funds managed by Advent International Corp., according to a government report.

In August, Charlotte Russe announced it agreed to be taken private by Advent for $17.50 per share in a deal valued at $380 million.

Charlotte Russe said its board of directors unanimously approved the agreement and urged shareholders of the San Diego-based specialty retailer to tender their shares in the offer.
