Seligman buys more than 400,000 shares of Catalyst Semiconductor

Charlotte, N.C., Jan. 11 - Investors led by J.&W. Seligman & Co. Inc. bought 412,600 shares of Catalyst Semiconductor, Inc.'s stock between Nov. 12 and Jan. 9.

The shares were priced from $3.75 to $6.00 each, according to a schedule 13D filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The reporting persons beneficially own 1,974,366 shares, or 11.7%, of the Santa Clara, Calif.-based company's outstanding stock.

Catalyst designs and markets reprogrammable non-volatile memory products and analog/mixed-signal semiconductor products.
